Photo Gallery: Exhibition “Kolë Idromeno in Retrospective” at the National Gallery of Arts
It can be easily considered the exhibit of the year! Kolë Idromeno, one of the greatest representatives of Albanian art, comes with an exhibit at the National Gallery of Arts. From the painting “Sister Tone” (Motra Tone), otherwise known as “the Albanian Mona Lisa”, painted in 1883, up to the Dantesque tabloid “Two roads” (Dy rrugët), the public will have a unique opportunity to see Idromeno’s masterpieces exposed near one another. The exhibit focuses also at Idromeno’s photography, and there’s a section dedicated to some ethnographic items which were used by him as a source of inspiration for his works. The exhibit will stay open until 8th of September, from Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM. The event curator is Erzen Shkololli.
