The month of January has a serious bad rep for being uneventful. The holidays are over along with their festivities, lights and commotion. The wallet is emptier and much lighter as a result of a December lived at full speed. However, we are here to tell you that this particular January has lots to offer! There are many exciting and affordable events, including the ten listed below, which bring the missing heat to amp up this cold month. Daddy G, one of the founders of the world-famous Massive Attack, will electrify Tirana on the second week of the month. Performing at the Skanderbeg Square Parking, Daddy G brings his style to the city in a show that is bound to entertain. Massive Attack has produced some of the most popular contemporary songs and albums worldwide and has won several international awards. Fans of electronic music and trip-hop will have the rare opportunity to experience their favorite music via one of its best representatives. The event is hosted by Turtle Fest. If you were saving it for the quieter weeks of January, you have until January 12th to see one of the greatest names of 20th century art, Marc Chagall. Graphic selections from the three illustrative cycles created by Chagall for Shakespeare’s famous “Tempest,” La Fontaine’s “Fables” and Gogol’s “Dead Souls,” await you from Monday to Saturday at COD, located in the Prime Minister’s office building. The young artist from Shkodra has extracted a number of negatives from a random bundle found accidentally, offering them a second life. This January begins with three interesting movie encounters. On January 16th, you can watch Bernardo Bertolucci’s “La comare secca” (“The dry housewife”), on the 23rd, “L’uomo che non cambiò la storia” (The man who did not change history”) by Enrico Caria and on the 30th, “Terapia di coppia per amanti” (“Couple’s therapy for lovers”).
